Had a tonsilectamy two days ago. Still very sore. How long will I be in pain like this?
I have never hurt this bad in my life and I am 36 yrs old! I have been eating and drinking plenty of cold things but now it just hurts so bad to swallow that I have to force myself to do itl. I also feel like I have lots of drainage in the back of my throat and seem to Snore more then ever. Is this normal? Thanks.
I was also put on lortabs 10/500, take one every six hours but I can never make it that long I have been taking them every four or five hrs.
Oh goodness you just got it and you’re 36? Ouch, I had it when I was 10, and I was in pain for a couple weeks. I couldn’t eat or talk or anything. It’s very normal, and you will probably snore a lot for the next couple weeks. Drink lots of water and 7up or Sprite feels good against your throat.
But once the pain is gone, you will feel much much better, trust me. You’ll feel healthier, and you’ll Sleep better, and your voice will sound better and clearer, and you’ll be so happy it’s all over.
Until then, though, scrambled eggs are the easiest to go down your throat. =) And ice cream of course!!!
